About this deal

Yes, our MCs meet and they start to feel the undeniable sexual chemistry as soon as they lay eyes on each other. Wow! Yes the room, the room, the room is on fire! (Normally it should be roof but you got what I meant.) You just patiently wait them tear each other’s clothes and wait for the genre’s changing into erotic romance. There are so many hotness and naughtiness in this story but it is sooo much fun! I found Liam and Daisy’s story more emotional, genuine, intense. They really deal with burdens, dysfunctional family issues, abuse, insecurities. Both of them learn their mistakes and changed themselves. Only thing didn’t change is the pure love they feel for each other which makes this book one of my favorite readings! TRIGGER WARNINGS: Mentions of child abuse, mentions of abusive relationship, mature (spicy) content

What stopped me from giving this a full 5-star rating is because I didn’t like how shit went down nearing the end. Sam obviously had too much guilt to work through to the point that it served as motivation to do unjust things. I didn’t like how he handled some stuff and I feel hurt on Layla’s behalf. The good thing is that he did his best to fix things, not just with Layla but also with her family and his best friend, John Lee. After a bit of a slow start, waiting for the characters to grab me, I was getting worried. I wasn’t feeling the chemistry…. then suddenly everything changed. And the heat was on!🔥 Deep, warming, and as delicious as liquid caramel, the voice sent a tingle of electricity down her spine, and a jolt of recognition through her body as hard as the strong arms around her.

Dating Step-by-Step

I love the connection between Sam and Layla but the constant conversation and constant bantering got to me, especially during some heated moments. Who allowed the five-year-old to sound about 35 and suggest they “sell some land to save the distillery” like truly in what world is that natural? “Jaxon had a good idea about selling off some of the land and keeping the distillery.” Like what??? He’s five. Without spoiling, I'll just say that Sam did something shitty and terrible and I don't think he redeemed himself properly. It was brushed over way too easily for my liking. If it was me, I would not have forgiven him.

He willed her to move from the desk so he could see if she had an ass to go with those curves. If he was going to waste time indulging himself in this pointless conversation, he might as well enjoy the view." Sam says he has his contract and she gotta leave the place. Layla says he should show some respect! Her father is in coma at the hospital, she has nowhere else to go and family comes first. I will be cautious about a person who doesn’t want me to meet his/her friends or family within a few months of dating.

More in Books

Daisy’s “quirkiness” was so over-the-top and overplayed by the end of this book. I mean nearly none of her tendencies would be considered wildly strange or “weird” in 2021. Yet, even after telling us about all the ways Daisy was different, she barely showed them with her actions or thoughts. I will be cautious about a person who tells me all about his/her inner world, including past dating experiences and therapy, on the first date (i.e., a person with poor boundaries).

It was definitely worth the wait to see the chemistry build between these characters! I loved Daisy’s family and her well meaning yet obtrusive Aunties. A fake relationship trope? Say no more. I was on board with The Dating Planthe moment I saw it as an early release @bookofthemonth choice. Liam Murphy was Daisy Patel’s childhood crush and brother’s best friend, who became part of the Patel family, but when he stood her up as her prom date he became her enemy. Years later, the two run into each other at a business conference and a fake engagement for mutual benefit and convenience is formed.

What Research Says About the Dating Process

Liam's gaze shifted to her, and his face softened. Before he could ask her what it meant and ruin the performance, she rose up on her toes, pressed her hands against his chest, and kissed him. Maybe there was a message here that wasn't getting through. She assessed the situation as if it were code and came up with: <>. It was the story of her life all over again. Liam was . . . not great. Turns out his passion for his motorcycle was a major turn off for me. The only motorcycle man I’ll ever want is Chad Michael Murray singing Britney Spears in my front lawn. Wearing leather and work boots just seemed too contrived for the rest of Liam’s venture capitalist character, and describing him as a vagabond biker gang adjacent dude was just alarming and slightly laughable. The Dating Plan follows Daisy, a software engineer desperate to stop her matchmaking relatives, and Liam, whose inheritance depends on him getting married. As a solution to both of their problems, they agree to a marriage of convenience, but as they spend more time together, they start to fall for each other. Even with a step-by-step plan, these fake fiancés might accidentally fall for each other in this hilarious, heartfelt romantic comedy from the author of The Marriage Game.
