Jednoduchá kalibrácia zvuku More power and more channels give the JBL greater impact and energy during action scenes. However, the LG S95QR’s front channels are more accurate and have more vertical range. The latter also offers more flexibility in the configuration of the different channels to customize the sound. For music, on the other hand, the JBL was the most impressive. Samsung HW-Q990B Compared to the Samsung HW-Q990B soundbar, the JBL Bar 1300 compensates for its lesser vertical range with an energy that immediately immerses you in the atmosphere of the program being viewed. As far as connectivity goes, you can expect to connect the soundbar to online music services via Wi-Fi, with support for AirPlay 2 and Chromecast for better-than-Bluetooth sound quality.
The Bar 1300 also has voice assistant support from Siri, Google Assistant, or Alexa, and supports AirPlay 2, Alexa MRM, and built-in Chromecast. There’s access to online music-streaming platforms too. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax, Bluetooth 5.0, HDMI eARC with Dolby Vision passthrough, and more. Plus, the JBL Bar 1300 soundbar is compatible with the JBL One app for EQ setting changes and more tweaks. The display can show you various functions like volume control, input selection and sound adjustments among others. We definitely like that JBL used a full functions display instead of LED lights. As it is much easier this way to know what the soundbar is doing. The display can show up to 4-5 characters and uses a scrolling motion for showing longer words. The JBL Bar 1300X combines a really powerful system with simplicity. And this is one of JBL’s characteristics for many years now. Movies A few days ago we praised JBL’s Bar 1000 and how good it sounded compared to JBL’s previous flagship, the Bar 9.1. Well, we will reserve judgement until we try out a few more of the latest 2023 flagships but for now the JBL Bar 1300X is definitely the new King. The JBL soundbar is equipped with an impressive 15 drivers: six full-range drivers and three tweeters for the front channels, two tweeters and two full-range drivers for the lateral effects and two full-range drivers for the front vertical effects. The manufacturer provides two covers for the soundbar when the surround speakers are detached. They are equipped with a perforated metal grille to let the sound emitted by the lateral tweeters placed at the ends of the soundbar pass through.
We saw JBL doing the same thing with the USB port on many of their previous releases and to be honest this is a very dubious decision. It makes all other regions feel neglected in comparison. Let’s hope this will change at some point in the future. Initial setup is very straightforward, as all JBL units are. Once more we opted to use the pass-through capabilities of the unit. So we connected our Panasonic UHD player to the soundbar itself and used the HDMI output to connect our test TV. As for its weaknesses the soundbar cannot pass-through 4K@120Hz signals as it is missing true HDMI 2.1 ports. If you have high ceiling then surely you are not going to get the kind of Atmos effects the soundbar can produce. Max volume may be an issue if you like to push it to the limit while its price will surely make a lot of people think twice before pulling the trigger.
The JBL Bar 1300 soundbar also features WiFi and Bluetooth wireless connectivity. WiFi opens the doors to wireless audio streaming via AirPlay, Alexa Multiroom Music (MRM) and Chromecast protocols from any compatible audio source. Jeden z odnímateľných bezdrôtových reproduktorov môžete spárovať s akýmkoľvek Bluetooth zariadením a použiť ho ako samostatný reproduktor, alebo ich spárovať dohromady, aby ste získali výkonný stereo zvuk. Aplikácia JBL One The JBL Bar 1300X has a great stereo frequency response without the satellites on. As with most premium bars, it has a room correction tool to calibrate its sound based on your room's acoustics, which is nice. With it on, the bar has a good overall sound, with a clear reproduction of voices and instruments in the mix. The big sub brings plenty of rumble in the bass, too, which is great for genres like EDM and hip-hop. The one thing that would detract from the Bar 1300X’s value is the fact that, at this price level, buying one of the best AV receivers and pairing it with an Atmos-ready speaker system becomes another option to consider, and one that could result in even better and more dynamic sound. But then again, the JBL Bar 1300X’s wireless subwoofer and surround speakers provide a more elegant and easy to set up option than a receiver and speakers, and for many users its sound quality will be more than good enough. Its build quality is solid and up to the usual JBL standards. Its simplicity in terms of settings and ease of use is characteristic of JBL systems. As for its performance, the unit excelled with movies and did really well with music. If you have a relatively small room with low ceilings then the Bar 1300X will reward you with amazing Dolby Atmos action. Add its long list of features and detachable surround speakers and you get an amazing deal out of it. The question with built-in calibration systems is – where’s the mike? There’s no plug-in microphone here to move around here, as in AV receiver calibrations. If a bar offers to calibrate based only on a mike in the bar itself, we are dubious how it can discover much about the room, let alone the listening position. As far as music is concerned we didn’t use the soundbar’s USB as this is only available in the US market. So instead we used our media player which we connected to one of the HDMI inputs to stream music to the soundbar. Fidelity & Overall Quality One good Dolby Atmos example is a scene from 1917 where the two British soldiers are exploring an underground German bunker and a trip-wire triggers an explosion that causes the structure to come tumbling down. The explosion in this scene sounded incredibly vivid on the Bar 1300X system, its potent subwoofer creating a low, thunderous rumble. As debris falls down on the soldiers in the aftermath, the system’s up-firing drivers created a strong sense of being within the space, while the main soundbar’s clear delivery of dialogue let me easily hear their shouts amidst the chaos.
This soundbar is good with music, thanks to larger drivers that provide clarity and detail, while the width of the cabinet creates plenty of stereo separation. The beefy sub delivers a solid foundation of bass that feels tight and controlled, especially after running the automated calibration feature. Thanks to support for DTS:X, you can expect similarly gripping immersion from your DTS Blu-ray discs. The Bar 1300X also does well with basic surround sound, either with the satellite speakers in their surround position or attached to the bar for charging. When I pulled up Skyfall on Netflix, the dialog was clear and crisp, and I was impressed by how much immersion the side-firing drivers created, even with the extra speakers reconnected. Každá miestnosť je iná. Naša funkcia kalibrácie zaisťuje, že JBL Bar 1300 poskytuje najlepšie 3D priestorové efekty pre akýkoľvek interiér a usporiadanie miestnosti. Samostatný Bluetooth reproduktor
HDMI eARC s 4K Dolby Vision pass-through
Further to the left of the control buttons we find a small hole that hides the built-in microphone. That, as we mentioned above, is used only for the audio calibration system. But more about this shortly. HDMI-CEC With the inclusion of three HDMI ports this unit can support a wide variety of sources at the same time. This means you will not have to rely on your TV to pass-through all signals. Calibrating the surround speakers for your room is a two-step process that involves positioning them right beside your main listening positioning and pressing a button that initiates a series of test tones, then moving them to where they’ll reside during movie watching and pressing the button again, at which point both the surround speakers and the soundbar emit test tones. Now let’s talk about all the extra features that are included and we will start with the audio formats supported. Audio Formats & technologies
There are some reasons to go detachable: as a compromise for those who don’t appreciate gear clutter or to eliminate trip wires for an open floor plan. The surround speakers can even be used as makeshift Bluetooth speakers, though I’d still point most folks toward more convenient waterproof options, like JBL’s Flip or Pulse speakers. I tested the JBL Bar 1300X soundbar in a 12 x 16 x 9-foot room using a 4K Blu-ray player, Apple TV 4K, and music streamed from Apple Music and Tidal as sources. Four HDMI ports are provided, including one with eARC. (Image credit: Future) JBL Bar 1300X soundbar review: Usability and setup Dolby Atmos is on board, of course, but so is DTS:X. And if you partner the SC9 with a new LG TV, you can also take advantage of a feature called Wow Orchestra, which synchronises the soundbar's drivers with those of the TV for a potentially bigger, more spacious sound. This feature sounds very similar to Samsung's Q-Symphony, and it will be interesting to thoroughly test it and establish whether it delivers actual improvements over using the soundbar's speakers alone. And the sound? They’ll be thin and weedy little standalone speakers, right? Well, no! Don’t forget that JBL makes the world’s best-selling and regularly-awarded Bluetooth speakers, and that experience shows here, with the solo rears sounding solid, full and enjoyable, with a fair degree of level too, so one of them will be great as a little bedroom speaker, say. When we paired the two together in stereo, they were three times as good, the sort of sound you’ll get pairing two large JBL Bluetooth speakers, so a tad artificial, a bit pushy sometimes, but strong and enjoyable, and powerful enough for a good stereo performance in a small-medium room. The JBL Bar 1300 is an impressive flagship model from the brand, significantly upping the ante compared to the earlier Bar 9.1 while also offering a viable alternative to competitors like LG and Samsung when it comes to fully immersive Dolby Atmos and DTS:X wireless soundbar systems.
