About this deal

The normal prime lens space in the Micro 4/3 system has recently become a bit more crowded, as Olympus has finally released their fast normal prime lens, the 25mm f/1. for several years now, and Olympus has decided to concentrate on creating an extremely compact high quality lens, while sacrificing a bit of lens speed.

lens can give you better close up shooting, with higher magnification capability, which can be useful especially when shooting smaller subjects, such as food! Weather sealing, lens function button, sure-handed handling, perfect manual focus, instant autofocus, and gorgeous colors. It doesn't feel fragile and because it's heavier then the 45mm, it feels quite substantial for a lens this size. I hope it comes soon to a distributor (here in the Philippines) so I can have my first 50mm equivalent lens.It takes a bit of effort to mount it onto our Olympus E-M10 camera and feels very secure on the camera -- no wiggle or play. Clifton Cameras is a credit broker, not a lender and is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FRN728300). has a minimal difference in depth of field, it is shorter, but the difference is minimal it does not justify the purchase even if it is 1. The lens feels sturdy, the design looks simple and when mounted on the Olympus OMD E-M10 it looks nice and feels perfectly balanced.

Considering the PanaLeica 25mm is rather expensive this seems to be the go to 50mm-e lens and seems the optics work very well. Robin, even if the Olympus is just as good as the Pana, I am definetily considering to switch just because of the size and weight advantages. On the very end of the lens, Olympus has included a bayonet-style cover ring, or "decoration ring" in Olympus lingo, that's designed to cover the grooves for attaching a lens hood. I care how a lens works under those constraints…how it reacts to processing, how it holds up under regular conditions. With that thought in mind…here are some observations I can make from my own experience with these two lenses.

Novuna Personal Finance will send a reminder letter approximately one month before the six-month deferral period is due to elapse. I am thinking of doing a side by side comparison between these two 25mm lenses, but this comparison (for my Part 2 of the Olympus M. The rated minimum focusing distance is 25cm from the image sensor plane, hence it is about 20cm from the front of the lens to the subject, and that is respectable.

I have lent Jackie the Fisheye Body Cap Lens to shoot for a few hours and h e has updated his blog with some amazing sample images! The first thing you'll notice is probably the "rattling" of PanaLeica version when mounted on an Olympus camera, under bright light.

Are you a Micro Four Thirds shooter who wants a 50mm-equivalent portrait lens with a very fast aperture? This review is one of the fastest I’ve ever written, not because there isn’t much to say but because the lens works so well that there isn’t anything else to add. offer superb optical performance, fast aperture, with, beautiful bokeh and impressive close-focussing capability. One of the characteristics of this new lens is that only the lens at the back moves, which also contributes to better image quality. For the ''VFA'' target (the viewfinder accuracy target from Imaging Resource), we also provide sample crops from the center and upper-left corner of each shot, so you can quickly get a sense of relative sharpness, without having to download and inspect the full-res images.
