About this deal

There’s a touch of high bass warmth that comes across with a tasteful moderation that entirely avoids muddiness.

That starts with electronic, with a deep bass hit from Tycho’s “Glider” punching hard, showing you just what JBL’s “Pure Bass” is all about. As a Harman offshoot, most of their tunings are somewhere around the Harman target, which is a happy, inoffensive medium for casual listeners and audiophiles alike. The ANC helps to reduce some bass-heavy background noise, but you may still hear the rumble of bus and plane engines. BNPL is an interest bearing option that allows you to delay payments on your purchases for up to 12 months depending on how much you spend. That’s one test that didn’t surprise us, with the headphones being very passive and much calmer when they were used without power. br>

This aligns with other JBL headphones we've tested and indicates the manufacturer's quality control and ergonomics. While the headband and the hinges feel pretty sturdy, the yokes seem like they could break if too much pressure is applied. You can extend the duration of the entertainment indefinitely by connecting the JBL Tune 760NC headphones with the supplied detachable cable. This might just be a case of a headphone nerd like myself picking too deeply at the balance of a pair designed for more casual listeners. Lightweight and compact foldable design makes these headphones always ready to travel everywhere you go.That said, the JBL have a more neutral sound profile out-of-the-box, and they have a more stable fit. This target is the product of an ongoing scientific study to produce a signature that sounds “universally” pleasant. For a longer battery life, you can also switch off the function at any time, it uses the battery as an energy source. However, there's a dip between the low and mid-treble that causes some vocals and instruments to lose presence in the mix. To start with what I like, the synthetic leather that went into the earpads and the headband padding is pretty comfortable. These headphones are what they are, with no extra app control, no equaliser settings, and no changes to the buttons. My only complaint at the end of the day lies with the intense clamp pressure that might give listener’s with larger heads, myself included, a bit of a squeeze. With their ANC feature on, they can block mid and treble-range ambient noise, like ambient chatter and the hum of nearby AC units. Yet it’s missing in action on the JBL Tune 760NC, with the only way to hear through the headphones being a little old school and pulling them down.

They also don't have an advertised IP rating for water and dust resistance, but that's normal for over-ear headphones. Unlike the JBL Tune 660NC Wireless, they have an over-ear design, which offers better noise isolation performance, a more comfortable fit, and less leakage. Two years ago we reviewed the JBL Tune 600BTNC, a pair of on-ear headphones with much the same focus on design, and two years on, nothing has changed, even if the market clearly has. See our recommendations for the best wireless Bluetooth headphones, the best noise cancelling headphones, and the best JBL headphones. These over-ear headphones are designed for long-term wear with maximum comfort; so, you can listen for hours while the active noise cancelling blocks unnecessary distractions. I did get used to it pretty quickly as the ear pads have a decent, squishy consistency that does a adequately effective job in offsetting the headphone’s vice-like grip. That said, the 750BTNC have better frequency response consistency, so they're marginally better for neutral sound.
