Graco Milestone All-in-One Car Seat, Group 0+/1/2/3, Aluminium
About this deal
Overall, the Graco Milestone is a reliable and practical car seat that prioritizes the safety and comfort of children during car travels.
I think once we are use to it, it will be easier as it means you can adjust the seat in situ easily. The car seat is designed as an 'all-in-one' model and can be used from birth and all the way through childhood until your child is 12 years old. This is an excellent seat although the instructions are a little confusing for front facing as the seat belt fits through a slot at the back which isn't clear in the instructions. Engineered for families who want to spend more time adventuring, SlimFit R44 is an all-in-one car seat for young riders from birth to approx. With four children and a camera never far away, Chloe Bridge is the author of family lifestyle and travel blog, Sorry About The Mess. This year, I have been working with Graco to bring you the latest in pushchairs and car seats from their range.
My wife always remain worried about the safety our daughter while going out on a long drive, so we decided to get the best convertible seat that be fixed easily in our car, and it makes possible to take care of our baby, without compromising with comfort. I also found the cushion pad around the buckle of the 5-point harness kept rising up or twisting around, meaning it was getting in the way and making it hard to buckle the child in quickly. I should just mention the cup holder, which is perfectly placed and reachable; having a secure but accessible spot for that essential drink is a very under-rated feature, and it’s the small stuff like this which makes a HUGE difference over time. It's also very easy to loosen and tighten the five-point harness straps at the front for a comfortable and safe fit on your child.
This is perfect when your little one nods off on a journey, as it stops their head from lolling forwards. If the Graco Milestone had the option to rear face for longer, it would definitely be a more attractive option for me, and many other parents. There are also rear and forward facing belt lock off guides to ensure that the seat is fitted securely and safely in your car at all times.
It then converts to a forward facing seat with a 5 point harness which is suitable from 9kg through to 18kg. Here in the UK the law says you only need to rear face until 13kg although many European countries recommend that to rear face till 4 years old.
My only negative is that it is quite fiddly and a bit of a pain to put in and take out of car so not good if you change cars a lot. Longtime readers of my blog might know that we like to use rear facing car seats for as long as possible. My little one is only 10kgs but 22-months-old and she preferred to be forward facing so she could see what was going on more clearly, although the car seat is higher than most others so babies should still be able to see out of the window. The buckle position should be in the slot that is closest to your little one without it being underneath him or her. There are two reclining positions for the forward facing seat and I usually have my son leaning slightly back rather than upright in case he falls asleep.
