Calvin Klein Obsessed for Women Eau de Parfum
About this deal
It opens with a very bright citrus sweetness (heightened by pineapple, but sharpened by pepper) that lasts for a very long time. I would recommend this perfume if you're looking for a simple scent to go with a minimalist aesthetic. The projection and longevity are both above average (I'm still catching fairly strong whiffs nearly 8 hours later), and this is a welcome change from recent Calvin Klein releases. I adore the citruses, lavender and sage, its extremely relaxing and excellent to wear at bedtime to get soothing sleep.
Often referred to as “the 80s in a bottle” because it so perfectly captured the glamour and sexuality of the decade's excessive lifestyle, Obsession for Men earned a notorious reputation for its unforgettably provocative, groundbreaking advertising. I've not worn this for ages but I decided to put a bit on this evening and remembered why I purchased it to begin with. Ive got the rollerball version and I have my share of aromatics, I'm not afraid of sharp, herbal or masculine scents.Read about this perfume in other languages: Deutsch, Español, Français, Čeština, Italiano, Русский, Polski, Português, Ελληνικά, 汉语, Nederlands, Srpski, Română, العربية, Українська, Монгол, עברית. Then it becomes abundantly clear that it might just be one of these confused, messy generic fragrances, a dud of little significance and quickly dismissed like many others and I don't think this is entirely down to the ambroxan. You'd think that if big names were going to produce this kind of middle of the road offends no-one as much as it delights no-one, they would at least make it super long lasting or super strong (like the original formula Obsession (which this is nothing like. It is difficult to remember it or recognize it from other modern fragrances aimed for young crowd who wish to smell the same as anyone else and do not appreciate something original.
Overall I get liberal sillage for the first few minutes only, followed by what I'd consider to be arm's length for maybe 2-3 hours, drawing back to about 12" after that. I discovered I had a sample of this, so went ahead and sprayed it on a pillow (as I was already testing a different one on my wrist) and I am glad I did. This could go unisex, but it's made in a male version as well which smells very nice, albeit a bit "common smelling" like a lot of men's fragrances nowadays. There are some similarities in the base with CK One, but Obsessed is a different perfume all together.
It's going on my list as a possible future purchase to go alongside my (much loved) CK2 and One Shock recently purchased bottles. Something to note is that I LOVE YSL’s Libre in all of her three ways lol (EDP, Intense, EDT) and I had no idea this smells THE EXACT SAME! I loved it so much that I bought a second bottle, big mistake: It was a strange medicinal mess that turned stale and sour the moment it touched my skin. Real-life couple Kate and Mario were sent to the Virgin Islands, alone, with no crew, no stylists, no team. The most noticeable opening to dry-down changes in this fragrance is the very fruity and citrusy opening, these notes are at the top closely followed by the spices; as the fragrance dries down, these fruity notes significantly dissipate, and in their place, the fragrance brings the sweet resinous touches of the labdanum and cinnamon, projected by the leather, vanilla, and ambroxan.
This intense, powerful oriental fragrance combines an intoxicating blend of florals and exotic spices with an earthy, warm, base. This is a very masculine fragrance, which I know is part of the concept of this perfume, but I don't care for it. Mixing memory and desire, masculine and feminine, the past and the present, these compelling fragrances echo the original Obsession, yet blur and reformulate scents for both men and women today. I see it as a day scent in spring / summer on a guy 20 - 40 years, it is definitely for the younger crowd. There’s a metallic element I don’t love, and some soft face-powder-like notes, the herbal hit of the sage, which is very pleasant, and the faintest floral element. Obsessed is a strange one really because it opens very nicely with much of the Calvin Klein freshness and the intriguing charm of things like Crave or CK2.
Blast of citrus, then woods, then a solid base of ambrox, patchouli, and an amazingly male scent friendly vanilla note. Obsessed is the typical sweet and modern fragrance that revolves around the artificial vanilla so common today. Launched in 2017, Calvin Klein Obsessed is the reinvention of the iconic fragrance for men and women. If a kind of crystalized citrus-tinged lavender bud sounds good to you maybe give this one a go, especially in warmer months. If you do not update your preferences, we will assume that you are happy to receive amazing offers and news.
