About this deal

The colours are brilliant and transparent with unique qualities that make it a great medium for loose and impressionistic work.

The little white tubs of Brusho have a tab to pull which would break the seal of the lid and allow you to pop it off. The mix I made up gave me enough dilute liquid to do two 8 x 10 paintings, two partial paintings, the chart, technique experiments, spill some, and still have half the liquid, afterwards. During the manufacturing stage there is 100% no contamination once the raw materials are received in the factory.Red, Scarlet, Alizarin Crimson, Brilliant Red, Rose Red, Crimson, Purple, Violet, Prussian Blue, Ost.

There are lots of options available to you and once you know what there is to choose from I am sure you will find the whole process far less vexing than it might once have appeared. You might have to blow a few of the errant particles into your damp shape as it can be quite tricky to be accurate with the fine watercolour brusho powder. Water-Soluble Wax pastels work in the same way as the Water Soluble pencils, apply before you use the Brusho inks, during or after, the choice is yours! If you already use watercolour paints, then Brusho is a great medium for you to try, use it alone, or alongside you traditional watercolour paints.

Another dry on wet technique would be to draw out your flower shapes or objects first using either the water-soluble crayons or water-soluble pencils.

The brush is probably applying more water than your spray bottle and the bristles will be mixing those pigment crystals. However, as an added protection for Brusho or any other watercolour paintings from damage caused by dust, dirt, humidity, UV radiation, smoke, scuffs and scratches - we recommend using a high quality UV spray. However, since the brusho is so concentrated and fine I think this would probably end in considerable waste and a fair bit of mess.

When I place this onto my dampened watercolour paper and sprinkle a small amount on it, I am left with an array of multiple pigments such as warm browns, darker browns, yellows, and even a tad of red!

Spritz water on to water colour paper – sprinkle Brusho® Crystal Colour on to the paper and it bursts in to colour. Joanne Thomas is perhaps the only art tutor in the world that teaches budding artists to create expressive, contemporary watercolours with Brusho. Ingestion - In the event of accidental ingestion of the powder or the solution, wash mouth out with water, give water to drink. Using any of the above simple techniques you will have a glorious spread of vibrant colour in moments. Because the pigment powder is so fine, some artists may wear a mask, especially if they suffer from respiratory problems.

But after playing with these for a while, I was happiest with the paintings where I let the Brushos do their thing. They tend to include water in one form or another because that is the first thing that I am reminded of when I see an exuberant splash of brusho. Colours included: brilliant red, lemon, dark brown, purple, ultramarine, black, scarlet, orange, turquoise, yellow, leaf green and emerald green. Achieve stunning results and experiment with a wide range of techniques from pen and ink work to watercolour painting, batik, painting models and more!
